Catalina installed with little problem, and everything appears to function except trying to backup iphone or iPad using finder. No matter what I've tried, I can't get any of my albums in photos to sync over from my iMac to either. I've tried selecting all pictures and just trying to select several individual albums. Never had a problem using iTunes. Any suggestions?

Photos Albums won't sync to ipad or iPhone

Ok-learned a little more after playing with this for a few days. After numerous attempts some of my albums are now transferring. The ones that are working are listed as separate albums and are not under a catagory. For instance-if I select an album om my iMac Photos that is entitled Alaska Vacation, it will transfer. However, if I had Alaska Vacation as a subtitle of Family Vacations, it will not transfer. No problems previously using iTunes to transfer.
I had this issue, that makes more sense although really annoying. I don't relish reorganising folders just for Catalina.
I've had several problems with Photos recently. I rearranged some of my albums and noticed that those changes don't appear on my iPhone. I didn't have a problem with that until upgrading to Catalina. Also, I then tried sorting albums alphabetically on my iMac, and later saw that several albums were out of the correct order. Editing photos within Photos also causes them to appear out of correct chronological order. I'm eagerly awaiting the first Catalina update...
