I'm using the latest iOS and macOS, and find that when I edit a photo on my iPhone, it syncs to my iMac, but the photo isn't in the correct location. I've tried to move it to the correct location within the album, but can't figure out how to do that in iOS 13. Also, I've moved an entire album to a different location on my iMac, but the album isn't moving on my iPhone. Anybody else having this problem? It looks like there's no point in working on my photo collection until there are some more updates for iOS and macOS...

Yep, assuming you are using Catalina and iOS13, after I tried sharing a photo album it seemed to mess up the order of all my photo albums, will take hours to reorganise, but like you I'll wait until the next update. I believe Catalina is the issue.

so you mean to say that if I were to create albums on my Mac Book those those albums and how the pics are organized will also reflect or should reflect on the iPhone too?

Just tried creating a test album on my MacBook named "Photoshoot" but it doesn't appear on the iPhone

Edit: So after 10 minutes, the album which I created did appear on my iPhone 11 but it's just empty without the photo which I added on my MacBook.

Yes! I create albums and add/remove photos on my iMac, and Photos on my iPhone and iPad Pro were synced within minutes, sometimes seconds. But after upgrading to Catalina, I find that rearranging albums on my iMac no longer affects my iPhone or iPad Pro. I tend to edit photos on my iPhone, and that still works. The photos do sync on my iMac, but they are out of order. Everything worked fine even after upgrading to iOS 13. It's the upgrade to Catalina that seems to have broken things.

That is a HUGE convenience my photos are all scattered in the All Phots album making finding a particular photo a nightmare of scrolling through thousands of pics.

Can't wait till they fix this man.

Seems like we're not the only ones: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250716707

@stephenschimpf I FIXED THE ISSUE!

I deleted everything from my iCloud photos (I have a backup). Then I turned off Photos sync from my phone, rebooted it, then turned it back on.

Now, neither my phone nor the MacBook had anything! I then started creating albums one by one and adding the photos accordingly to keep things organized and they were synced to the iPhone Photos app instantly in the same order!

Yikes! Well, I've already cropped, enhanced, and organized most of my 20,000 or so photos, and don't want to do any part of that again! I'm hoping when the first Catalina update comes out, it'll fix things.
