It's difficult to get good lighting in a data center, but I did bring my external flash to try to help it.

Thank you for the pictures, interesting to see the insides.

I have a question that you may be able to help with ... the Apple spec states that the lower model with 1gb has 128mb video memory and the other 2gb model has 256mb video memory.

Is it possible for you to boot the machine with 1/2gb and verify that is where the difference comes from ? Thus making the cheaper machine with a memory upgrade as capable gfx wise.

Logically I would assume that is the only difference but it would be nice to confirm before purchasing.

btw the picture of your mini server racks is awesome :D

I second this request. I chickened out at the store. :( Not knowing this I couldn't justify spending the extra $200 for 1GB RAM and 200GB hard drive space. I can buy extra ram and external space for less.

There was a poster who said a Product Engineer "confirmed" that it will scale with RAM usage.

However, I, along with many others I am sure, would love official confirmation from an owner of a new Mac Mini.

Question- in your website, it says that 3 cables disconnect when you lift the top portion up (with the optical drive and hard drive), but it's hard to tell where the cables reconnect. Do these cables just plug straight back in? Is there a possibility of damaging the cables like there was with the "old" power cable if you pull too hard? Just wondering the ease of reconnecting it.
