I downloaded the wallpapers from this post directly to my iPad earlier today.

When I view the one of the earth with the photos app, if I zoom it, and rotate the screen back and forth, the app crashes and dumps be on the home screen. Twice, it has crashed and given me a black screen with an apple icon, and spinning "busy" indicator, the dropped me on the unlock screen after a few seconds.

This is the only crash I've had. Is it possible this photo is just too big to be manipulating?

Edit: I see the image isn't actually that big......I thought it was one of the large ones I downloaded earlier. It doesn't happen on any of the 4000 photos I've transferred from my iMac.

Edit2: I don't even need to rotate the iPad, just zooming in and out a few times on this one picture consistently crashes the app. I can't get any other picture to do it......even the other wallpapers I downloaded at the same time.

All input appreciated

Turns out it is a large picture. When I viewed it in safari on the iPad last night, it said it was only 875x875, but viewing it on my iMac this morning, I see that it's actually 3500x3500, so I assume this is just a memory issue with manipulating such a large file.

I've just spoken to Apple technical. They downloaded the same picture, and had the same crashing issue, so it seems that it's definitely related to the size of the picture and not a problem with the iPad itself :)
