Photos App - Catalina

Is there a way to move multiple photos to the same geolocation? I have 1000's of photos that are in the wrong geolocation but are grouped together. Example tons of photos showing in different areas of the neighborhood but not exactly at my house.

I know I can move one at a time but need a way to move groups at one time.

Where do you want to move them to? Somewhere else in Photos: a new Album? Or to somewhere outside Photos?

You can move as many as you like at the same time. In Photos you can select multiple photos by holding down the Cmd key and clicking on each one. Or for a group, click on the first in the group and then holding down the Shift key, click on the last one. Or click away from a photo, hold down the mouse button and drag to select a group.

You can de-select any in the group that you don't want by holding down the Cmd key and clicking the unwanted ones.

You can then drag the selected photos into Finder or an Album in Photos.

My problem is not being able to move multiple photo to a new geolocation. You can change the geolocation one photo at a time but I need to change the geolocation for hundreds or thousands of photos at one time.

Haven’t been able to find a way with Photos App yet

Yes, I'd also like to know if there's a method for this.

I have a number of photos from quite some time ago that seem to have been assigned incorrect geolocation metadata. At some point I could modify them by hand to assign a precise location, but it would be good to get them into the right region of a country – in bulk.

So far I am not finding an option for this and looking at all options in Photos App. Hopefully some one will chime in with an answer.

I will say that Houdahgeo can do this and push the changes directly into Photos App. The trial on the software allows you to do this for only 5 photos at a time

I am not sure but selecting the pictures in photos, and press the i icon should work

edit: i just tried and its working
