Photos app/Macbook Harddrive Transfer.....

Hey guys

Took all 40gb of videos/photos off my iphone. Into the photos app. I have plenty of HD space left. When I tried to drag and drop the photos from "Photos" the app to my external hard drive. It just crashes....

Standard turd apps

I then went to the pictures folder then photos library, I dragged and dropped 4ogb along to my hard drive
They transferred
However, they are not individual jpegs. It is just one icon...."Photos library"...which I assume means if I was to open it elsewhere I would need the photos app?

Why is this app so terrible and annoying (I know its just apple being apple)
Any alternatives that are not gash

Yes... correct. What you are seeing there is the Photos "library" that contains all your images. Do not mess around inside that library or you will break things.

If you want to see individual photos, open the Photos app then select the images you want, then go to the File > Export menu and follow the prompts to export to wherever you like.
