Hi,

Trying to transfer my whole library of photos (14.000 +) to my iPad Pro (4th gen). The photos have multiple edits (cropping, color correction, rotation, etc), but when all is done, I only see the unmodified photos transferred to my iPad. Running the latest updates of macOS Big Sur and iPad OS 15.

I'm missing something? Maybe some setting I need to modify. Please help!

That's normal. The edits you've made are non-destructive, and you can revert to the original. But the originals aren't displayed alongside the edited versions unless you explicitly duplicate the originals and edit them.

Sorry I can't tell you about wired sync, I assume through the finder?

I do know that edits are transferred via iCloud.

This includes new photos on one device where the edits happen before the photo goes to iCloud and other devices.

For instance I turned off all connectivity on my phone, took a picture and edited it on the phone. When I turned back on connectivity, the photo transferred to my Mac with all the edits included.

I am kind of surprised the same does not happen via a wired sync but I have no way of testing that since wired sync for photos is turned off when you are using iCloud.
