photos app on mac question

i am having trouble with smart albums in photos.

i made an album to show all photos taken in the last 3 years, which is fine. except there are photos that i do not want included, and i have added descriptions to those photos and added the rule to not include photos with that description, and it doesn't seem to exclude those photos.

what am i doing wrong?

I just did a test and it worked for me.

Have you tried closing and re-opening photos? Until I did that, although editing the smart album said that one image matched, it wasn't until I restarted photos that the image appeared in the album.

Also, just in case, don't confuse description with title and make sure the rule is *and* not *or*. In other words .. photo is under 3 years old *and* does not include description text xxx.
