Photos App seems all over the place

Does anyone find the new Photos App on iPhone really hard to navigate?

I constantly get lost and have such a hard time trying to find even the simple things.

My suggestion would be to follow suit with what Mail/Reminders do and hide the list of items off to the left. It wouldn’t impact UX that much, keep the focus on the “pictures” and enable users who are looking for something specific to drill into where they want to go.

Consensus is pretty unanimous that the UX for the app is horrendous. Please make sure you submit feedback to Apple!

Don’t understand why they decided to hide the select button and only have it appear when you scroll up a little on your photo feed. A lot of user seem to have trouble finding it now. By default it only shows the search button, which I never actually use. Annoying
