Photos app showing wrong date and not reading geotags of imported MOV files

I'm using an iPhone 6 with iOS 12.1 and when syncing photos and videos with iTunes 12.9.0.167 for windows I have noticed that the MOV files are showing the wrong date (file creation date not date taken) and it's geotag is not being read at all. Funny thing is when I airdrop the same file to another iPhone it will read the data properly on that phone. If I send the same file back through airdrop it reads the tags properly on my phone. It also works properly if I import the file through Dropbox or email and save it to the camera roll.

So basically only when importing with iTunes the tags are not being read, but I the synced MOV files have the proper tags. Is anyone else having this problem?
