I transfer my photos to our PC from time to time, using a DOS (Windows) program that works otherwise OK. And I'm unsure that the program, HP Photosmart Essential 3.5) has anything to do with this:

After transfer, which is set up to delete the photos on my phone after transfer, I get a message that none of them could be deleted as they are all write-protected.

Is this working as it's supposed to? Is there something I can do about it?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Our PC is running Windows XP. iTunes will not support it. I will look at your suggestion for transfer. Is it an app?
[doublepost=1471461918][/doublepost]Searched for the app, but apparently it's software?

In any case, my issue is that all my photos on my iPhone 6+ are marked as read-only, so my phone is getting really crowded with photos.
