Running iOS 15.0.1 I have found that the Photos process is constantly running in the background causing the battery to run low prematurely.

With 2h 4min Screen On and 12h 52min Screen Off, the Photos process has been running in the background for 9h 4min.

Mine isn’t Photos, but I’ve had a few processes run away in the background. Camera slaughtered by battery the other night. Might be just another iOS 15 thing…

My battery’s been running down a lot quicker than usual, and I have the spinning wheel in the status bar that I can’t clear with the old “activate Siri for a second” trick. My battery stats don’t show unusual app activity; not sure what’s going on.
