iPhone Photos (gathering favourites, cleaning duplicates) taking long time

Hi

In photos app the bit that says its gathering favourites and checking for duplicates and so on is taking a long time on an iPhone 8, the blue bar has not moved for ages.

On my SE it didn't take that long and both have similar amount of photos.

Its plugged in and locked tried leaving the photos app open while locked and also closed as well but no difference.

Anyone noticed the same?

Thanks, I needlessly worried, it completed not long after I posted, so took just over an hour to index the photos for me, I only have about 500 photos, maybe less, so I presume you must have a lot more if it took 8hrs.
