Photos - How can I acess the original file on finder?

I'm using the new photos app, and I wish I could see the original file on finder, but I can't. If someone knows how to, please tell me. Thanks

it's important to ONLY access, edit, work from the Photos app. changing, deleting pictures from the source folder can wreak havoc with the app; this is why your photos are hidden in the app's contents folder.

you can always drag an image to the Desktop (or wherever), and edit in preview, etc...

Reason enough right there not to use Photos app. The notion above is ridiculous in my opinion.

It uses a package folder; if you do "show package contents" you can find the masters inside. Photos is non destructive, so those should be the same as when you copied them in there. Don't change them, but you can copy them out for that purpose. Use an alias or symlink if you want to make access easy.

For the future, though, perhaps you'd be happier referencing photos rather than storing them in Photos managed library. Your choice. Just uncheck the "copy" on import option in prefs. Then Photos will leave your images in whatever folders they were in when you imported.
