Hi

I have a 135'000 photos library, about 330gb (not that the size matters).

Problem: I have sometimes 3-4 duplicate photos.
Because, many photos have been imported as albums šŸ‘‰šŸ» Example: "Holiday California", "Family Shared Album California" and "USA 2015" have been imported both, they sometimes contained the exact same photos.

Goal (and Problem): How can I identify the duplicated AND! link back the one-left-over-photo to the album (aka. from 4 duplicate photos in 4 different albums, delete 3/4 and link the one left-over photo back to the the albums the duplicate was taken out from) ???

I have used a third-party app called PowerPhotos from fatcatsoftware.

Someone recently posted a utility that they wrote that does similar duplicate finding and seems to be much faster and looks interesting.

You might ask your question in the Photography forum, where others will probabably provide you many other (and conflicting šŸ˜Š) suggestions.

I have no idea if any of the tools will merge album references or not. I donā€™t think that PowerPhotos does. I donā€™t use albums as much anymore.
