Hello,

I have a Library with Referenced Files.

Both the Library and the Referenced Files are on my system drive. All Referenced are in 1 folder with no subfolders. The Library has about 500 images only.

-When I launch Photos, the 'Referenced File' tag on the thumbnails in not broken.
-When I click on it and selected Show Referenced File in Finder, it takes me to the correct file.

The problem is when I double click a thumbnail in Photos, it actually opens the file but prompts:

Missing File - Photos with unavailable original files cannot be opened. The original photo "Photo.jpg" is either offline or cannot be found. Click 'Find Original' to reconnect.

So I click on Find Original... and it only allows me to select the folder within which it is located, which I do. And the problem is now gone, any other image I open doesn't give me the same prompt.

The problem is once I restart Photos, it does the same thing again. Even though when I still show referenced file in finder, it finds it, and tags show no missing links. The only issue is opening a file and getting that annoying dialog box and having to locate the image's folder once a time every time photos is restarted.

Any ideas on resolving this would be appreciated, thanks,

Nick
