Hello guys,

so it seems to me that Memories in the new Photos App aren't synchronised via iCloud Photo Library? Is that true? Seems a bit odd.
Maybe because it happens only local on an iDevice?

It's not enabled yet. And as this is very, very hard to sync, don't expect any Google-level flawless sync. Apple's not good at this and this is extremely difficult.

So they say but memories always match. Mac, iPhone and iPad always have the same memories when I check.

People however are a different story and are definitely not synced. Worse, all three devices actually identify numbers of peoples even after doing the "Confirm Additional People" dance on each. I'm thinking this might be because: -

- The Mac has power to spare to run a deep(er) analysis. It always identifies more pictures.
- The iPad only works with the low-res pictures (it's only 32Gb so I keep Optimize Storage switched on there
- The iPhone SE has full res pics but not the horsepower of the Mac.

I will say that the latter is only a pet theory though. In any case People syncing can't come soon enough. Really hope it'll be here in the *.1 releases.

Thank you for your replies. So Memories and People aren't synchronised but given the fact that through iCloud Photo Library every Photos library is identical the same Memories are generated. Strange that it doesn't work with People maybe the algorithms are really different between iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
