Photos not showing in gallery

I’m getting an issue whereby photos I take aren’t being made available to view in my photo gallery. However if I launch the camera app I can see them there. Anyone else ?

Had this happen yesterday. Had photos app open and four pics I had just taken were there. Exited out and came back and they were gone. Exited and came back and they were there again.
