Houston (duh)
So, when I first sync'd photos to my iPad, I had the "Places" feature along the top along with "Photos" "Albums" and "Events".

I have iPhoto '08 (still), and have not yet upgraded to '09 that has the places feature.

Now, that "Places" option is gone on the iPad.

Why would it once have it there? Do those of you with '09 have that option on your iPad?

I am guessing it's a feature that shows up when you have iLife '09, but I had it for a while with my current '08 version, then it disappeared?

I only have 08 too and it shows up on mine. If you sync any photos that were taken with your iPhone they show up in places.

Scott,

I have places on mine ( I have IPhoto '09) and as the other poster pointed out, the IPhone photos are the only in there as well as one photo that I took with my Nikon D90 when I was trying out the add on GPS adapter, which makes me believe that only photos with GPS info in the meta data will appear in places.

Thanks guys...

My iPhone pics showed up in places originally, and now they don't even though they're still in the library.

Very strange. I don't know why it disappeared.
