I want to buy a IPad Pro 12.9. But I doubt when I compare in shops the photo's on the iPad Pro 10.5 and 12.9. The photo's in the app photo's are more sharper and brighter on the iPad Pro 10.5 than on iPad Pro 12.9. Also the video's are better on the 10.5. I have see this in different shops.
I find it very strange because the 10.5 and the 12.9 have the same pixels.
Wat is your meaning?

Assuming it’s a photo that’s over 2,732x2,048 the photos pixels will have to be interpolated to the screens. The photos data will be stretched out more on a 12.9 with a larger resolution, and less so on the 10.5 with a somewhat lower resolution - this means there’s more data available per pixel on a 10.5 than a 12.9 unless you zoom in to where 1 photo pixel = 1 screen pixel, then, as far as I am aware, the two screens should perform identically.

They don’t actually have the screen resolution.

The 12.9” is 2732 x 2048
The 10.5” is 2224 x 1669

But both are 264 ppi.

Are you certain that the 12.9” models you’re look at are the 2017 models (2nd gen) and not the 2015 (1st gen) models? The screen, while sharing the same size and resolution, has been updated on the 2017 models compared to the original 2015 models.

its probably panel variance

good 10.5 and bum 12.9

or a less worse 10.5

my 12.9 gen 2 is more beautiful than any of 4 or so 10.5's I tried that had a yellow tint at the bottom

I prefer 12.9 size eanyways, more noticeably different than my 9.7 pro which I still have too

I have them both and use them every day. I don’t see any difference in screen quality between them, but I prefer the 12.9 due to bigger screen and speakers.
