Newbie Photos user!

I'm exporting slideshows to 1080p (.mk4) files in Photos App. When I hide the window, the app losses the use of both the CPU and the GTX-670 (PC):

Photos window on screen:

When Photos window is hidden to the dock:

Photos window back on screen:

Anyone an idea what causes this? Any direction appreciated.

Cheers

What are you using to monitor your GPU? I've been looking for a way to monitor my GPU.
