I have a iMAC and have been using for about 2 years now. I had saved lot of photos in 5-6 albums. I used to give a "description" of photos after clicking the "i" in the photo and while viewing in slide show, the description used to appear on screen - thus making it easier for viewer to know what he is seeing. Recently, the mac had a problem and my son was asked to reboot or reformat. After this, I have 2 problems.
1) Obviously, all the albums saved have disappeared. Is there a way I can recover? Though I have a back up in external hard disk, the back up is not having the description.
2) Now, when I save photos, the icon "i" is not appearing on the photos. I am still able to key in "description" but this is not appearing in the slide show. Only photo title is appearing, which is just the file name as given by the camera. I do not find the "show description" in the options while clicking on Slideshow. Is it some version issue?

Can some one help me with
a) how to recover earlied saved albums with description.
b) how to get the description appear on screen while opting for slide show.

Thanks
