Well, they’ve completely screwed photos.
Worst thing is searching for tags is very hit and miss. I’ve tagged lots of photos so I could find them and now most of the time (but, strangely, not all) it doesn’t find anything when searching for my tabs.
The other, really useful, feature that they have got rid of, is showing the location as well as the date when scrolling through your photos. Very annoying!

I have found that if you have two words in a tag you now need to search for both words whereas before, even part of a word would find it.
Eg, I have pictures with the tags ‘570 Original’ in iOS 17 I could search for 570 or original or even orig and it would find them, isn’t that the whole point of tags?
In iOS 18 it no longer finds them unless I search for the full ‘570 original’
Lots of my snaps have multi word tags so I could find them in multiple ways, now I can’t find them at all.
Am I missing something? Or is iOS 18 really this bad?

Thanks, but I was talking about scrolling through the library in thumbnail view.
