Photoshop is running significantly slower with Rosetta than the native beta version. On a task I do often, converting an 8mb image from 72dpi to 300dpi. Both machines have 8gb ram.

2018 Macbook Air 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5: 31 seconds
2020 Macbook Air with Photoshop 2021 (Rosetta2): 17 seconds
2020 Macbook Air with Photoshop Beta (Native): 5 seconds

Anyone else having similar experiences?

Beta is of course better since the core is for M1...and if we dont touch the wall with serious bugs....beta it is until the final version
Rosetta2 in almost every app i see that performance around is 65-75% of the native perf

Yea of course it's to be expected. I should have phrased it differently... I'm really excited to see how fast the native version is running. That was the point I was trying to make very ineloquently.
