I have a new 24" iMac, 4gb, 1tb, all the bells ad whistles. I have Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium on it. Every time I click on file>open in Photoshop; Photoshop shuts down unexpectedly.

Problem solved... it is a quirk

Apparently the last file I loaded last night was from a customer flash drive. Photoshop was erroring out because when I clicked OPEN it was looking for the place it last found a file which had been removed. I rebooted, reinserted the flash drive and did another FILE > OPEN and it worked.

seems quirky to me....

Thanks to all for the help...

Sounds to me like you were clicking "File>Open Recent"

FedEx delivered the drive, I opened the file in PS CS3 (since it was already open) to see what he had, since it was what I was looking for I saved it to my HDD (did a 'save as') and went home... not something that normally happens with most users doing FTP but next time I know to change my process.... live and learn.
