I just recently bought a macbook pro and already had Photoshop Cs2 on my gateway but i am also trying to put it on my mac and it wont load. I mean it will show the disc on the desktop and so i click on it and just get a bunch of folders. and i really do not know what one i go into to get it setup. so if someone could PLEASE HELP that would be great. Thank you :)

Do you mean to say you have Photoshop CS2 for Windows, and you would like to install it on your new Mac?

You can't, you need to either purchase the Mac version of Photoshop, or you need to install Windows on your Mac with Bootcamp or similar.

The Photoshop disk that installed on your Gateway is Windows only.

If you have a Photoshop Mac install CD, there should be an obvious file or icon which says "click to install"

CanadaRAM hit it right on.

I was chuckling as I read the word gateway, and outright snorted at the rest.

Sell your PC copy and get a Mac version.

As a rule of thumb, if the CD/DVD icon you see on your OSX desktop is just a generic looking icon (blank, silver disc) and not, say, a company/application logo, and you are sure its a retail copy...its a PC disc.

All retail OSX discs have nice fancy icons, for the most part.
