Photoshop cs6 to ps cs learning curve

I tried searching, couldn’t find anything. I’ve used Photoshop CS6 since 2012. No, I do not have a receipt for the purchase, nor do I even remember where I bought it. I work remotely from home and use PS all day long. The Adobe warnings and PS slowdowns/shutdowns have reached the point where it is really interfering in my work. It’s also possible it won’t work well with the next (or one after) system update, so as much as I hate the subscription idea, I feel I have no choice.

My questions involve whether I can transition easily from one to another. Trying to minimize my down time. How steep is the transition learning curve? Can I keep both until I get used to the new one? Can I turn off the cloud stuff completely? Anything I should be aware of?

Update: Downloaded trial version, doesn’t seem too scary. I’ve been able to match my previous settings so I can finish the project I’m on, while I research further.

Didn’t want to waste anyone’s time here.

I've never found moving from one version of PS to a newer version to involve much of a learning curve, even when that have been a 2-3 version jump. The most work is in getting the Preferences and workspace configured. The other issue I've had (CS5 to CS) has been with Actions that include Save releated steps. These have generally required some fixes.

Thank you. I’ve been using PS since version 1, whatever it was called then. I was mostly concerned about transitioning and taking too much time from work. First thing I did was set up Prefs, install to work took less than 15 min.
