Photoshop Elements 6 will not reinstall (help)

After spending hours trying to unsuccessfully update Elements 6 i decided to uninstall and then reinstall. But i keep getting this message about half way thought installation.

Some problems occurred during installation. Please see below.

Can anyone help my out please i have tried to reinstall twice but with no joy.....

It sounds like you cannot reinstall because you still have receipts from a previous installation. However, I have not been able to identify receipts from an Adobe Photoshop 6 installation or from any Adobe application installation, for that matter.

I have just done a update and everything is up to scratch the only thing i can think of is that i have uninstalled it incorrect and a file has been corrupt which is preventing me from installing again?

I have just tried to uninstall one more time in case i didn't do it properly this time when i tried to do it this came up

This did not appear the 1st time i uninstalled it ?
