How does one do those reflective shadows as per Apple products on their website on Photoshop?

Personally, I want them to die a quick death. In time, they'll be seen just as much of a visual cliché that defines this decade as much as grids, salmon pink and grey were for the 80s.

They're a cliche, but if you're going to have a cliche you might as well make it a nice one!

I suspect it's a by-product of the glass architectural advances we've seen over the last decade. Almost every new building is glass filled, externally and internally now.

Wow! That is horribly done!

I still think this effect is classic. It just needs to be done right. I don't see it going away from quite some time.

You see it everywhere. To me it just polishes things off most of the time, adds that shine! Just look at how much Apple has incorporated it into all their products.
