Everytime i apply use the shape tool. the program freezes and i can't select anything including Quit photoshop. I have to Force Quit. I have no other problems except fot this particular one.Please help.

Scratch disk is found under Preferences -- usually the start-up disk.
Sounds like a bad install or a corrupted file. Was this a clean install?
