Photoshop is converting my B&W image to color...

I shot a concert in B&W bc that was the only way I could get a descent image in the lighting that was available, anyway, when I open the image in CS6, it automatically converts the image to color rather than leaving it in B&W. Can anyone help me out?

Obviously you shot in raw format. Now you've learned that black and white mode in camera is nothing more than a tag. You can convert to grayscale within Photoshop.
