I'm working on my website (see signature) and I'm trying to get an image background color to match that of the web page. Both colors are set to the value of #000033, but the image made in photoshop seems lighter. Here is a screen shot. How can I get this to match? It's really bugging me, and I can't just make the image have a transparent back ground because IE doesn't like transparency.

BTW I am using RGB color.

Need help quick! &Thanks so much.

Your problem is with how Photoshop deals with the gamma difference between Macs and PCs. If you are using the png file format for your image, then try re-saving the original as a gif and see if that fixes the problem.

You could also save it as a GIF with that blue transparent.. it's a close enough blue that you won't be able to tell a difference.
