Hi, my mac isnt old at all, only had it 3 months.

I have photos from my camera that i have imported thru iphoto.
I then go into photoshop and go File>Open>Media>Photos and it comes up with my iphoto pictures.
It gives me the option of clicking on the events or albums, but after that it does nothing. I cant select a photo, or open an event when i am viewing all events. Why? Please help.

Also, is there a way i can view the iphoto library files without having to open iphoto and look thru there. Thats one thing i miss from windows is being able to go thru the 'backways' and look at the files.

PLEASE help especially with my first issue. Much appreciated!

P.S. Im using Adobe Photoshop CS Version 8.0:apple::apple::apple:

In iPhoto preferences, set Photoshop as your external editor. Then, when you select a photo in iPhoto to edit, Photoshop will open, you can edit and when you save, it will be saved right back where it belongs. Much better 2workflow!

Hi, thanks for your suggestion, but still it does not work.
I changed the external editor to Photoshop as you said and then continued to click on a picture in iphoto and selected edit in external editor. Photoshop opened and thats all.

So i tried again with photoshop open and all it seems to do is switch to photoshop, it doesn't actually open the image.

Im opening mostly jpeg files, coming from a Nikon D40X and i'm using Photoshop CS version 8.0.

But it does it regardless of what kind of image file and even with images ive saved from the internet.

iPhoto and photoshop

I'm new to mac, but I think this might help. In iphoto, set photoshop as your editor. Before editing an image from iPhoto, right click and select Duplicate file. Then open that file in photoshop. When you are done just select save from photoshop - don't rename the file and don't select save as. This is my work around until I find something else that works better with photoshop.
