I have the same issue except when I take a photo on my iPhone, it appears on my iPad but not in Aperture on my Mac.

For it to appear in aperture I need to go to the preferences, and turn Photo Stream off and on, which forces Photo Stream to re download my pictures, then they appear.

very annoying and I can't find a solution this issue anywhere.

I have similar problem. Three devices have all own "streams", only one or two photos shared.
I think it is connectivity issue. Photos does not appear locally in photo stream folder if no connection, and it fails to distribute to other devices if those are not connected at the same time. At least this way it appear in my iPad, iphone and aperture.
For example if I take photo with iPhone without end-2-end connection that photo never goes to any stream. But if connection exist then the photo appear in the photostream folder. But not necessarily in other devices stream folders.

ME TOO!! I have a similar problem, 4 devices (iphone 4S, iPad2, Apple TV and my Mac) are all connected to the same cloud. Only sometimes when I take a photo on my iPad it will show on my Apple TV and Mac, the iPhone 4S doesnt seem to sync!

Also Im desperate for apple to change it so you can delete some photos off the stream, and before you say anything im not taking pictures of my naughty bits, my little brother had my phone last night and took a zillion random pictures of everything he saw and now their on my phone and in the cloud and I cant delete them haha

Does PhotoStream do it all the time or just when you plug in your device and have it connected to WiFi?

all the time, plugged in and unplugged, tap on photo stream on ipad2 and there are no photos, iMac and ipad2 connected on same network, strange because it worked seamlessly until yesterday.

I turned on Photo Stream yesterday. Took a few pics. The Photo Stream album remains empty on my iPhone and iPad. Am I doing something wrong?

Guys keep in mind, photos will only sync to PhotoStream over wifi.

yep, got that part. just tried again...took a pic with the iPhone, while on wifi; does not appear on photo stream. took a pic with the ipad, and it does appear. all settings identical.

I'm still having this problem. Photo stream just will not update on my iPad 2. Mac Mini, iPhone 4s and ipad2 are all on the same wifi network. All have photo stream and iCloud enabled. Only mini and iPhone stream. Has anybody found a solution?

I realised that PhotoStream will not sync when the battery is below a certain point (I think it's 20%, but I'll have to try this again and see).
