When I shoot photos with my iPhone 12 mini some photos end up in the photostream and some don't. I have no idea what I can do to make sure all photos are saved to the photostream. Its random. Sometime it's 2 out of 3 and sometimes it's 1 out of 10. There is no pattern.

I checked everything. There is enough storage in my iCloud account. Battery is full. Full Wifi. Full cell coverage. iPhone is on the latest update. Did a restart of the iPhone, as well as toggling the photostream switch off and on.

I am doing something wrong that is hidden in the documentation like the MacBook needs to be charging to update the photostream? Anybody else having the same problems?

From personal experience, toggling Photo Stream on and off helps most of the time. ✌

(I'm not surprised it's acting up though, as Apple seems to have sort of forgotten about it... probably because it's free and they're busy trying to get people to sign up for iCloud Photos)

I have the same issue. Have to toggle Photo Stream on and off in the Photos app on my mac.

I just use Google Photos. So much better and easier.
