Yes, from a MAC via iPhoto or a PC with the iCloud control panel installed. Just install and follow the on-screen directions. Google the above program names for download links.

i know you could do it from iPhoto. i was wondering if it was possible to see them through a web browser or through iPhoto on somebody else's computer/device. thanks

No, Apple once had that function with the old MobileMe but that is no longer available now that they have iCloud.

All I want is for my iPhone to automatically upload my pics & vids to iCloud for permanent storage and for me to be able to log in on any PC and view them. Even with their fancy Photostream, this basic function is not possible.

Apple, please do this. I don't mind paying for the storage - just make it possible.
