Hello,

I want to get application info's from the AppStore with PHP, like the description, icon, etc...

Can somebody give me some tips on how to do this? I need some info please.
I don't know the URL to check or if there's an Apple XML with this info.

Thanks in advance!

My research shows there is no official Apple API, i.e. XML-RPC, for the App store. They seem to be very tight in the vest to protect their data. The only thing I could find was a commercial product that runs on the desktop and can export manually run search results in CVS or XML, hardly what you want and certainly not native PHP.

What some developers do is crawl the store and parse HTML content to get the numbers they want. This is not easy and of course the moment Apple changes the display or HTML, your script breaks and needs to be updated - a very bad solution.

Yes, I was thinking about HTML Parsing, but I don't know the links.
It's not the best solution but if it's the only one I can do, that i'll be it.

Do you know the links for the HTML information page about an app in iTunes?

arn, maybe you could help me here, since you did this for the appshopper.com I guess.
