I'm trying to set up a bulletin board system on the VMS server here at my work. I've looked at a number of free options, like Invision Power Board and phpBB, both of which require the installation of MySQL and PHP.
The thing is that MySQL was only recently ported to VMS, and there's only an alpha version of a plugin for PHP that recognizes MySQL on VMS, and the IT guy here at work and I are not sure if this is good enough for these bulletin boards.
Is there a test suite or some other script that I can use to test the interoperability between PHP and MySQL, so we can verify that it works before we actually install one of the bulletin board systems?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
