php server latency

Hello,

My safari calls to PHP pages have a 30sec or so latency before anything happens.

Maybe a description of my setup will help. I have a mini server (php, mysql) and the latency is visible from the macs that connect to the server. The whole setup is not connected to the internet.

I have looked at ping (server pings) and traceroute (that shows a 1-step jump from any mac to the server).

Any ideas where I can look and readup to get to resolve this ?

i suppose the log files of where the php server is located.

but how do i find the log files?

Using the serveradmin tool on the server I have looked at the log files and found nothing particular.

Actually what should I look out for, and in the log files of what ? php, mysql, ??
