picked up a 17" high resolution today...

very excited...i've been calling both apple stores in my area since the new 17" high-rez led's were released...the answer was, nothing in stock...you should just order online... i much prefer buying in store, so i waited...

anyway, today was the day! called one of the stores and they had the 2.6 ghz high-resolution matte w/7200 rpm disk in stock. ran over on my lunch hour and dropped all sorts of cash.

no problems at hour 6, screen is extremelly even, no brightness / dullness / yellowing / pixel issues whatsoever. speakers and hp out sound as expected.

just had post, since my wife could care less, but i know all of you can appreciate my joy

Is it just me or do the new MacBook Pro's have a bluish tint to the keyboard's back-lighting?

Nice, 17inch MBPs are amazing. If I didnt have to carry the laptop with me all the time I would've gone with that over the 15inch. The screen/resolution on it is just so nice, makes me wish they offered a higher resolution with the 15.
