Hey everyone,

I absolutely love my 2009 Mac Pro. I bought it new in 2009 and it's been fantastic the entire time. I've upgraded it many times over the years from it's base 2x2.26 ghz, 6 GB ram, GT 120, 640GB Hdd configuration up to its current 2 x 3.33 ghz, RX 580, 128 GB ram, 24 TB disk.

Lately, I've been afraid that it will suffer a failure and began looking for spare parts. I'm lucky that my local Craigslist is silicon valley, so I figured I might be able to find junker that someone was unloading that I might be able to salvage a few parts out of: psu, fans, etc.

But I found something even better than spare parts: a fully functional 2010 dual processor Mac Pro for $395! Because I'm a pack rack, I have lots of old parts that I'd used on my 2009 over the years and now I've got this:

Hopefully, some combination of the two can keep me running the cMP long enough to save my pennies until I can get the New Cheese Grater.

Thanks to everyone in the community that's helped me along the way. I've learned a lot from this group and I really do appreciate it.

Good luck everybody!

I tried selling mine on Craigslist late last month with no luck. Got some low ball offers that I refused. Ended up selling it to:
