For now we can only hook up the unibody MacBook, MacBook air (I think), and unibody MacBook Pro to the LED Cinema Display.

And chances are they will.

I'm pretty sure those are the only three macs that can hook up to the LED screen. It will be awesome if the imacs are able to hook up to the screens.

I already did a little of the foot work a while back when they first came out and from looking at the tech specs of each, the MacBook(pro) LED cinema display is about .5 inches to short. so unless they release new cinema displays made for the new mac pro / mac mini / iMac, it will be to short.

also even with those USB keyboard risers (forgot the company) it's still like .1 inches to short.

I'm looking at doing this when they release the new iMacs, replacing my Mac Pro and dual 23" displays. I'm assuming that the 24" iMac and the 24" ACD have exactly the same physical screen size, it's just the iMac's chin that results in a height difference?

They are in the same picture but it's not connected to the iMac. They are only currently able to connect to the new Unibody Macbook line.

Could look like this... You might want to stack the ACD on something to bring it level with the iMac.

Thanks. I have seen similar pics, but have yet to see a real life side by side shot.

It's too bad they don't make the 23'' cinema display anymore.

Yeah I still like the all aluminum looks of the previous gen. I do however like the black/aluminum iMacs over the white ones. The LED ACD hasn't really caught my eye yet though.
