Here are some pics of my Macbook Air with a 3acp skin and an invisibleShield.

I also have a skin on my iPhone. Pictures of that as well as bigger versions of the above pictures can be found here.

Honestly, the 3acp skin is more decorative than protective by far on the outside, but on the inside, I feel much better putting my sweaty palms on the skin. If ever the skin gets worn out from my palms resting on it, I can remove it and replace it easily. Also, I had thought I wasn't going to want the part on the trackpad, but it was easier to install it and then remove it than to install the rest of it while avoiding installing the part on the trackpad. So I installed it all to start with the intention of removing the trackpad portion, but after it was installed I was surprised at how much I liked it and how smoothly the mouse still works. I also figure that this will also protect that portion of the laptop from being worn by my sweaty and oily fingers.

Looks pretty good, but how is the feel of the IS on the keyboard and trackpad? I had IS on my v1 iPhone and it was like the screen had bad acne and it had that "pot-marked" look and feel to it. Also, the smoothness of the finger swipes and unlocking was a total loss. I would sometimes have to swipe two or three times and I felt I was swiping the sticky side of a piece of duct tape.

I can't speak for others, but I put InvisibleShield and an iSkin on my MBA last week.

The InvisibleShield takes patience to apply, and several days (about 4) to fully dry. Once it has, it looks great (until then, you may have some small bubbles--they will go away with time).

On the touchpad, you can feel the difference, but I got used to it within a day. Now I don't notice, but feel much better knowing it's there.

The iSkin goes over the keyboard easily (it comes off for washing), and also looks really good. It takes about a week to fully "relax" after being folded in the package.

On the keyboard, you can feel the iSkin, but within a few minutes you will get used to it. If you use your MBA a lot (who doesn't?), then knowing that a spilled drink or food crumbs will never touch your keyboard brings amazing peace of mind.

I already loved my MBA, but finally adding the InvisibleShield and iSkin made the package complete.

I'm not a fan of decorative skins but yours looks pretty nice.

If I had a MBA, I would probably just throw an iSkin keyboard cover on it and a trackpad shield from Applepeelz. That's all I put on my MacBook and it still looks nice and new. I change the trackpad cover anywhere from 6 mos. to a year just to be sure that it's not ruining the finish. I'm too scared to put an entire shield on my notebook.

It feels completely smooth. That's why I did end up keeping it on. I thought it would hinder my mouse movement, but it feels normal, except for feeling like plastic. Note: the invisibleShield is only on the bottom of my laptop; I do not have an invisibleShield over my decorative skin. My decorative skin is both smoother and less sticky feeling than the invisibleShield.

I'm not really convinced, you did pick the best design though, i just had a look at the site and most of the other skins look disgusting.

After a while, the protective skin collect oil and dirt from your finger. The color of the protective skin changed and can not be cleaned even using thinner or alcohol. So I peal it and my MBA get its shiny silver back.
