I am sorry, I realized after I left the store I didn't check whether these are nano- or not. Pictures only go so far anyway! Hope they help someone...

Yes I think you are right - you can see the reflection in the first 3!

Mine is currently scheduled for Monday delivery (we'll see if it happens), but I might stop by the Apple Store this weekend to see what the Nano texture looks like in person. Apple's pushing it heavily so it is getting recommended a lot, but I'm not convinced it is worth the $150 for me. But seeing it in person should help clarify it somewhat.

at least you can get nano texture on every singular macbook pro variant...
wher as ipad pro was a scam, forcing users to go 1tb just to have it... [also i found MBP's nano texture way subtle and less obvious] but the iPad Pro's design was very lazy with the nanotexture layer, still had a disconnect between glossy bezels and nanotexture touchscreen only..[]

I spent a good 30 minutes between the nano texture and glossy display with my wife. Another individual was doing the exact same with his wife.

After making a decision I decided to ask the gentleman what his conclusion was. We both preferred the glossy display, but it was a marginal decision.

In my opinion if the decision between the two coatings is this challenging, then there is no 'wrong choice', however, it seem prudent to go with the 'default' option. My wife preferred the matte, only because she mentioned eye strain for her to be an issue. For me I absolutely cannot stand 'fuzzy' text on a display and there is no denying the nano-texture adds 'fuzziness'. Coming from a windows display with matte, due to the subpixel aliasing on Windows machines, fuzziness is never an issue, however with Mac's you have to be a little more careful. This and the deeper blacks and contrast was more important than the glare. I think if glare bothers me very much, I can always get a matte screen film

Yep & it’s compounded by the fact you’re forking over another $150 for the nano texture. It’d be nice to equate this to “some people like chocolate & some like vanilla” but it’s not that straightforward.

What also stood out to me is the fragility of the texture. Apple suggests only using the polishing cloth. Skipping water when cleaning. Only using alcohol very rarely and for “stubborn” stains.

My current MacBook Pro I am replacing is 6 years old. Could the nano stand up as long?

My glossy display on that MacBook looks as good as the day I opened the box. I do clean my entire MacBook daily or every other day.

You will be fine. My screens got better the day i banned sneezing at them and eating in front of it.

All else equal the 70% alcohol sounds much worse than little water and cloth.
I have had 2012 mbp and the screen from infrequent alcohol wipes was delaminated couple years later.

With nano the trick is to brush off the dirt with dry cloth as early as possible. I guess water just might affect further smearing. Like if one is fallen on the ground and collects dust, then it is better to just shake it off- adding water creates a mud.
