Pics, videos not rotating in the message app streams

I switched from a 7 to 15 Pro recently and noticed that pictures and videos in a message stream no longer rotate for best viewing when I turn the phone. I can save the image or video and they rotate normally there as do all others. The screen does rotate normally in different apps, just not in messages, which is a feature I used all the time.

Anyone aware of a fix for this or resource I can go to for assistance? Appreciate any insight, thanks...

No-one responded, but the problem seems to have corrected, not sure why, or why it was acting up to begin with. I love the phone, though. (well, with the exception of voicemail that is messed up, when I have hours to waste I'll have to start calling around)
