Not sure if this has been mentioned. But I JUST noticed it.
The commercials shows Johnny Appleseed calling with a little picture, and the CID picture is small and in the corner.
Mine shows the picture in full screen and the information overlayed on top of it.

thoughts?

If you load a small picture (like the size I put on my Razr) it will be small like the commercial, if you load a med to full size pic in then it will fill the whole screen, and if you have no pic for the contact, then it defaults to your screen saver.

Do you have a Mac? If so, just add all the pics you want to the address book. No matter the size, they will sync over as small like they show in Mail, iChat, etc... If you assign then on the iPhone itself, they may be any size but probably full screen.

That's interesting...have you noticed when you add a picture on iPhone and then sync it that the picture changes on your computer in Address Book?

it will ask you to verify the update only if you are changing more than 5% of whatever you are syncing such as address book or iCal but not items like music, videos, photos.

I noticed it first in Mail! A sender suddenly had his picture in the corner of Mail because i had added him as a contact (with pic) on iPhone.

Yes it changes. Its a smaller cropped version. The iPhone has a tall long screen, address book has only an area of maybe 128X128 so the top and bottom of the pic get cropped. If you assign a pic on the phone, try to keep the face fairly centered which is pretty easy to do anyway.
