Ok... so I'm sure most of you have had this as well....

All of my pictures are lumped into one album. So how do you alter the meta data on pictures to get them split up in separate albums by location, person, etc?

iPhoto?

I don't have a mac (and thus I don't have iLife).

I'm in Windows 7 on a PC.

Well you didn't say that at the beginning. :)

Not sure as I don't use Windows, sorry. Hopefully someone else can come to your rescue! Perhaps something like Picasa or Adobe Photoshop Elements?

I am a Mac user but this would work on Windows, too. I created a folder on my desktop into which I put all the images I want to have on my iPad. Within that folder I have individual folders for various categories -- voilà! I sync to that desktop folder when in iTunes and, bingo, albums on the iPad!

Damn, excellent idea. :)

I actually have most my pics stored on my NAS at home rather than using iPhoto, I think that should do the trick for the OP and work better for me as well. :)
