Excellent response. I don't think anyone could phrase it better.

My dad has a pretty nice car, and it just sits in the garage. He gets it out maybe once a week on the weekend. I feel it to be a bit of a waste.

And what car may that be? :curious:

My dad's BMW (see previous page) only gets out once or twice a month. The heater doesn't work well and there is not sound, which might account for the lack of driving, but it still is fun to drive.

Thank you. I do drive it like it was intended as much as possible. A couple times a year you can find us blazing up and down the Tail of the Dragon - 318 curves in 11 miles of mountain road.

I've also driven the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway + Skyline Drive twice (500+ miles of mountain road). Try taking a mortal car for a 500 mile drive in 2nd and 3rd gear. :D I've driven it from Florida to Maine, Kansas, & Baltimore plus the aforementioned trips to North Carolina.

Also, we get together with other NSX owners and the Honda S2000 guys a few times a year for country cruises. Florida isn't exactly excitement central when it comes to great driving roads, but if you look around you can plan a fun route.

So, while I appreciate other's alarm at my using my car for a truck (I'm not hurting it - really!), I don't think anyone who knows me would accuse me of not enjoying my car to the max.

I've heard about the Tail of the Dragon, my friends (I drive a Scion tC) tC lost control on one of the turns and ended up damaging his rear bumper :eek:uch:

But I'm hoping to do a bit more suspension work before I head out there.

I've always wanted to drive on the Dragon

Trying to plan a trip there this July.

Here's a few newer shots of my 2000 Chrysler Concorde.

Lovely car - got it for my 16th birthday last year. :)

That is really great to see!

I am annoyed by people that get cars as presents, and just let them deteriorate! I am saying that because I too was given a car to drive (new at the time) and I did what I could to take care of it. It is still in great shape, and in the family.

I am glad that you love your car, and you appear to be taking really good care of it!

And it is much nicer than a Plymouth Breeze ;)

A detailing recommendation
To get your headlights crystal clear again, buy a bottle of swirl remover wax from a good auto-parts store and use a terry-cloth to buff them clear again. The outer surface on many car headlights can turn yellow or cloudy over time, and most (especially Chrysler products) can be buffed out with a bit of elbow grease.

The best thing about it is the fact that your headlights will provide more light at night too!

I'm right with you. They don't even appreciate that somebody spent sometimes quite a bit of money on it and make it look like crap. I can barely watch "Pimp my Ride" on MTV (which I rarely watch) because some of these kids have recent cars and they have ran it down to crap.

Now, I'm only 15 (16 in August) and I'm looking to get a Pontiac Grand Am (recent), Chevorlet Malibu, or Jeep Wrangler and I would treat that thing with lots of care.

Thanks! I do love my car. And I do take very good care of it. I wash it at least once a week (usually more - I have OCD), and do a full interior cleaning on a weekly basis as well.

Yes, it is! I just loved the Plymouth Breeze back in the late 90s when I first got a screen name!

They are actually crystal clear - the picture makes them look yellow and foggy. I have my jar of Mag polish for such circumstances should they arise!

I will take your word for it. I just know it is a common problem for any car with Polycarbonate headlights. That includes my VW Passat :( .

But my headlights are new now, I converted to HID's :) (and NO they are not ultra blue, or purple ;) )

And on that note.. My car before the snow started to fall in Minnesota!

Nothing dollar-wise compared to the NSX above. Nothing special or dollar-wise compared to a lot of the cars in this thread, but I think it's a fantastically fun car.

Audi A4 Quattro.

It's pretty too.

A4s are great cars, and nothing to be ashamed of! :)

Here is my vehicle parked in the garage at work. Sorry picture phone sucks. Work gives me the vehicle since I am the Career Supervisor / Assistant Chief.

I didn't see any Audi owners here so i'll have to take a few pics and represent!

'03 A4 1.8T Quattro

Fantastic car, bought it pre-owned but the remaining warranty and service i've had so far has been great. Gets good mileage on the highways (when i keep it at a normal speed <120km/h) Drove from Toronto to Boston on a 60L tank. It handles beautifully with the sport suspension and even with the 1.8T can still go when I need/want it to. Now all i need is some snow to put the Quattro AWD to work (and to go snowboarding here in Ontario...)

Here's a picture actually, not that I thought you wouldn't believe me:

I'm looking to convert to Silverstars in the near future...

And window tint too. Note that the entire car has no badging. :)

@leftfood. Nice daily! Seems like you like black cars, aren't they hard to keep clean? I wanted to get a black tC but opted for silver instead. Many friends with black tCs complain that it is so difficult to keep it in "showroom" condition.

Yeah, It's difficult, but I devote 2-3 hours to washing each car on every Saturday.

I can tell from shine/reflection and the tire gloss on the Vette. Sexy!

Thanks, here are some more cool ones of the Altima.

This one really captures the nice mix of Zaino, Claybar, and Ice on the Vette.

I got the Vette back in early November, and it was originally white, but I had it repainted black, and I treat the car and the paint like it's a god.
