I have a picture on my iPhone home page (the picture that shows when you first turn on the phone). Honestly, I don't know I got that picture there because I don't have it saved in my mac nor can I find a copy of it in my iPhone's photos. So my question: how can I save that picture to my mac? I really like the picture but I would like to change the home page pic every once in awhile, however I'm afraid if I change it, I'll lose it forever. Can someone help me?

TIA!

i honestly have no idea what you're talking about. do you mean your wallpaper, as in the picture that shows up after waking it from sleep, not turning it on?

regardless, the picture didnt magically appear there, wherever it is. if its not in your wallpaper or camera, or photo library, id be somewhat surprised. if it is jailbroken, maybe you have some app which did this. in that case, ssh with an ftp client into your phone and youll find it somewhere, be able to save it.

Is the picture one of the wallpapers that came with the phone? For instance, is it a picture of the earth, water lilly, peacock feather detail, plant, etc.? If so, you can change to a picture without losing the built-in wallpaper. (I don't want to assume a knowledge level on your part so sorry if that sounds insulting.)

You can go to settings/wallpaper and see the pictures there to see if it is a match. If it isn't one of those it must be one you supplied at some point. I wouldn't be surprised if you could take a picture, select it as the wallpaper from the camera roll and then delete the picture and still have it show up as wallpaper. (I just tried it and you can do that.) If that is the case then you would need to break into the phone and get a copy of the current wallpaper image that it is using. I don't know anything about accomplishing that.

Good luck!

Yeah, the wallpaper.

I think what happened was that I had it in my old phone (Razr) and then I sent it to myself when I got the iPhone. However, I don't have it saved on my mac and it doesn't show up in my photos (on the iPhone). How do I save that wallpaper without losing it?
