Pictures and Pages

I want to import photos into Pages.

The photos are not in 'Photo Library'. They are on an external drive in a folder.

I can't see how to import these photos into 'Photo Library' and it seems, I can only insert media into a pages document from 'Photo Library'.

Cut and paste doesn't work.

Sometimes I hate IOS when it throws up things like this!

Drag the photo into the document window, or Insert -> Choose from the menu bar.
